Problem

Exchange filings are the truth for Indian equities, but they arrive as dense announcements. Traders don’t read PDF dumps between meetings. Short, readable market news only works if something continuously pulls filings, filters, writes, publishes, and indexes.

What it is

A scheduled Worker (every 5 minutes) that:

  • Pulls NSE and BSE corporate announcements
  • Filters categories that matter and clusters related filings
  • Writes short readable articles with Claude
  • Publishes to BottomStreet news (JSON on R2, index state in KV)
  • Pings search so new stories get discovered

Live site shows Outcome of Board Meeting, Dividend, and similar stories with company, headline, and timestamp. Same news line feeds the 60-word news app on Play.

Approach

Exchange → article factory, not a manual CMS: fetch → filter → cluster/dedupe → generate → publish → notify search. Hard rule: one article per company/day for dividend/outcome so dual-exchange filings don’t double-publish.

Outcome

Indian market news stays fresh on bottomstreet.com/news without someone hand-writing every filing.
